In her own words
Q: How did you meet?
A: Columbia.
Q: When did you know your spouse was “the one”?
A: The first weekend we went on a date, we ended up spending the whole weekend together at the fair. I knew after that weekend ended I didn’t want to be without him.
Q: Tell us about the proposal.
A: We were wrapping presents for our kids last Christmas, and I was joking around about the ring being wrapped and me opening it at Christmas, and he looked at me and made me stand up and in the middle of the living room. With presents and wrapping paper everywhere, he told me how much he loved me and that he didn’t want to ever be without me. He proposed and I said yes!
Q: What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
A: Saying “I do” to my best friend.
Q: How did you choose the venue where you were married?
A: It is the perfect location looking over the river and seeing downtown Columbia in the distance.
Q: Did you have something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue? What were they?
A: Something old, my mother’s wedding band; something new, my dress; something borrowed, my grandmother’s diamond earrings; something blue, my garter.
