In her own words

Q: How did you meet?

A: We met in a class at Clemson.

Q: Tell us about the proposal.

A: Drew surprised me on the bluff at Isle of Hope in Savannah. He had a sign around my dog’s neck asking me to marry him, but my friends had tricked me into going there, and I didn’t even recognize my own dog or my boyfriend since neither one was supposed to be in town! I was just afraid I was messing up some guy’s proposal until my friends made me look again!

Q: What was your favorite part of the wedding day?

A: Not only was I now married to my best friend, but we all had so much fun at the reception.

Q: How did you choose the venue where you were married?

A: I grew up in Charleston and had always wanted to return there to be married. Grace Cathedral is gorgeous, and they made us feel so welcome.

Q: What was the significance of the music played during your ceremony?

A: My mother worked with the organist, Nigel Potts, to combine the perfect wedding music for us. It included a bagpipe in reference to our family from Scotland, as well as the recessional that was played at my parents’ wedding. The bells at the end just completed a perfect ceremony.
