Catherine Lewis, Allen Lawhead marry

Catherine Branigan Lewis and Lucian Allen Lawhead, both of Columbia, were united in marriage May 13 at Heyward Street United Methodist Church in Columbia. Jody Flowers officiated the 6 o’clock ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas Bradley Lewis and Sarah Fisher Lewis of Columbia. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Carolina, and she is employed with Richland One School District.

The groom is the son of Dr. Michael Dorian Lawhead and Rebecca Weatherford Lawhead of Chapin. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, and he is employed with Mungo Homes as a builder.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Matrons of honor were Margaret Lewis Tuttle of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Sarah Lewis Revell of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Lawhead Magni of Chapin, Sarah Margaret Gottshall of Columbia, Ashley Nicole Knox of Charleston, and Erin Berson Byrnes of Pittsburgh. Eloise Ervin was flower girl.

Best man was the groom’s father. Groomsmen were Michel Dorian Lawhead Jr., Vito Michael Wicevic, Conner Epting Watson, Chad Stevens Stewart, and James Scott Olliges, all of Columbia; Thompson Gardner Lawhead of Chapin; Adrian Patrick Wicevic, Justin Willis Reed and Guy Richard Bryant, all of Charleston; Jordan Christopher Miller of Dallas; Kyle Everett Osterman of Greensboro, North Carolina; and John Sullivan Lemmons of Nashville, Tennessee. Philip Ervin was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Palmetto Club.

After their honeymoon in Savannah, Georgia, the couple will reside in Chapin.
