Victoria Wright, Brent Hyatt marry
Victoria Sightler Wright and Randall Brent Hyatt were united in marriage on May 27 at Gantt Street Baptist Church in Cayce. The Rev. Gene Rowell officiated the 6 o’clock ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. James Bryan Wright. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Daniel Sightler Jr. and Mrs. Ann Wright Tiller and the late James Terry Wright.
The groom is the son of Ms. Deborah Jones Hyatt and Mr. John Melvin Hyatt. He is the grandson of the late Evelyn Sings Jones and the late Peggy Caudle Sharpe.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her maid of honor and best friend, Bethany Dawn Davidson. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friend Brittany Danielle Davidson, the couple’s friend MeLeah Elizabeth Griffith, and the groom’s sister, Lauren Hyatt Yanik. Flower girl was Miss Calloway Lace Griffith.
The groom’s best man was his lifelong friend Dr. Derek Lee Griffith. Groomsmen were the groom’s friend Phillip Stephen Griffith; the groom’s brother, Cameron Blake Hyatt; and the bride’s brother, Nicholas William Wright.
Ushers were the couple’s friends Master Addison Julian Gleaton, Grant Everette Gleaton and Jackson Alexander Gleaton and the bride’s cousins Archie Daniel Sightler IV and Master Leslie Coleman Sightler. Ring bearer was Master Ryan Allen Gleaton.
The bride wore:
▪ Something old: Her bouquet was wrapped in a piece of her mother’s wedding gown, worn on her wedding day, June 25, 1994.
▪ Something new: Her designer Essence by Australia gown and cathedral length veil.
▪ Something borrowed: Her great-grandmother Sightler’s bridal rings, given by her great-grandfather at their wedding on June 15, 1929.
▪ Something blue: The two blue sapphires mounted in her Vera Wang engagement ring are a symbol of faithfulness and everlasting love.
Following the ceremony, a celebratory dinner was held in the Capital Ballroom at Columbia Marriott.
The bride is a graduate of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College with an associates degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse. The groom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a professional engineer with Lexington County.
Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Lexington.
