Lauren Dropla, Jeffrey Lowe to wed

Gwen and Frank Dropla of Columbia are pleased to announce the engagement their daughter, Lauren Dropla, to Jeffrey Lowe.

The bride-elect, a resident of Las Vegas, is the granddaughter of Billie Nelson of Elgin. She is a 2009 graduate of A.C. Flora High School and a 2011 graduate of Coker College. She is employed as a zoo owner.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Las Vegas, is a graduate of Michigan State University. He is employed as a zoo owner.

The couple plans a July wedding in Las Vegas.

Q: How did you meet?

A: Lauren worked for Jeff in one of his retail stores in Beaufort.

Q: When did you know your fiance was “the one”?

A: On their first date, a connection was made that neither one had ever had before. They had everything in common, from being animal lovers to having the same taste in music, the same views of life and so much more.

Q: Tell us about the proposal.

A: Jeff proposed to Lauren in Las Vegas in front of all the lights on the Strip.
