Anna Price, Andrew Anderson marry

Anna Flowers Price of Columbia and Andrew Pickens Anderson of Spartanburg were married June 3 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Columbia. The Rev. Canon Charles Meyer Davis Jr. officiated the 6 o’clock ceremony. A reception followed at Siebels House and Gardens.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Porter Price III of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. John Heslep Moorman and the late Mrs. Moorman of Columbia and the late Dr. and Mrs. William Porter Price Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina. The bride is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Pickens Anderson III of Spartanburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sims Newton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Pickens Anderson Jr., all of Greenville. He is a graduate of Wofford College with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He will pursue a master’s degree in business at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was the bride’s sister Jean Porter Price of Columbia. Matron of honor was the bride’s sister Blanche Price Provence of Greenville. Serving as bridesmaids were Abby Moses Bennett of Charleston; Sheaffer Kingston James of Greenville; and Suzanne Smith Postell of Charlotte.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Manning Brabham and William Clarke Walker, both of Columbia, and Othneil Wienges Lafitte and Herbert Hall Provence IV, both of Greenville.

Program attendants were Suzanne Lucas Moorman and Grace Caroline Moorman; acolytes were Duncan McIntryre Moorman and Thomas John Moorman; and the reader was Caroline Simons Moorman, all cousins of the bride.

Serving as ushers were the bride’s cousins William Talley Moorman Jr. and John Heslep Moorman III and the groom’s cousins Robert Oliver King, Christopher Dayton King, Brent Miller Ebert and David Scott Ebert.

Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill.
