Eleanor Bourne, Joseph Dozier marry

Eleanor Lemmon Bourne and Joseph Andrew Dozier, both of Georgetown, were united in marriage June 3 at Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island. The Rev. John Fletcher Montgomery officiated the 6 o’clock ceremony.

Eleanor is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Davis Bourne Jr. of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Davis Bourne of Georgetown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julian Caldwell Propst of Sumter. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and is employed with the Georgetown County School District.

Drew is the son of Dr. and Mrs. H. Randall Dozier of Murrells Inlet. He is the grandson of Ramona Rogers Moore and the late Joseph Earl Rogers of Pamplico and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Dozier of Mullins. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and is employed with the Georgetown County School District.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a gown of ivory lace over satin and her aunt’s cathedral lace veil. Her flowers were arranged by Teresa Steigmann. Harpist Rebecca Nissen provided the music.

Matron of honor was Noel Ahearn Rinehart of Georgetown. Honorary bridesmaid was Catherine Dozier of Murrells Inlet. Bridesmaids were Susan Marie Blake of Charlotte, North Carolina; Catherine Ashley Davison Chatillon of Georgetown; Riviere Propst Moody and Alexandra Elise Bishop, both of Charleston; and Laura Michele Connor of Asheville, North Carolina.

Best men were the groom’s father and friend Breck Daniel Heidlberg of Arlington, Virginia. Groomsmen were Brandon Kendall Rinehart, Ryan Patrick Gibson, and William Davis Bourne III, all of Georgetown; Kevin Michael Brown of Charleston; and John Jefferson Nail of Charlotte. Usher was William Robert Shaw of Charleston.

Taylor Clark Hiel and Erica Rachel Bishop were scripture readers for the ceremony.

A reception at Pawleys Plantation followed the ceremony.

After their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Georgetown.
