Ann Rainey Haltom of Laurel, Mississippi, and Charles Propst II of Columbia were married June 10 in Waynesville, North Carolina.

Mr. and Mrs. Dayne Edward Haltom of Laurel, Mississippi, announce the marriage of their daughter, Ann Rainey, to Mr. Charles Robert Propst II on June 10.

The ceremony was held at The Swag Country Inn in Waynesville, North Carolina. The reception was held at the family’s mountain home in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.

Ann Rainey is the granddaughter of Mr. James Ely King and the late Louise Thornton King of Heidelberg, Mississippi, formerly of Groves, Texas, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Guy Trevanion Haltom of Nederland, Texas. Mrs. Propst is a graduate of R. H. Watkins High School and of the College of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She made her debut with The Debutante Club of Mississippi, and she is a member of the Nahoula Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Laurel.

Charles is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Edwards Propst of Columbia. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles Robert Propst of Sumter and Mr. and Mrs. James Latimer Dendy Jr. of Albany, Georgia. Mr. Propst is a graduate of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School and of the University of South Carolina with a degree in hotel, restaurant, and tourism management. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, where he served as social chairman and chapter rush chairman.

The couple will make their home in Columbia.
