Ms. Tyler Makenzie Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Preston Wilson of Pendleton, and Mr. Justin Taylor Wilt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Allen Wilt of Sumter, were married April 29, 2017.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kay Wilson, the late Mr. Clarence Lee Woodson, and Mrs. Velma Massey Woodson. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Morris, the late Mr. Everett Wilt, and Mrs. Vivian Wilt.

The ceremony and the reception were held at Wavering Place Plantation in Eastover, with Mr. Matthew Wilt, brother of the groom, officiating.

The bride was attended by matron of honor Mrs. Rachel Chrobak and by bridesmaids Ms. Brittany Owens, Mrs. Jill Fuller, Ms. Jennifer Howell, and Ms. Laila Teseniar.

The groom’s father served as best man. The groom’s brother Mr. Daniel Wilt, along with Mr. Harrison Hobbs, Mr. Jonathan Siegers, and Mr. Benjamin DeVault, served as groomsmen.

Master Tanner Brown escorted the flower girl, Miss Presley Brown.

The bride wore her mother’s wedding veil, pearls given to her by her grandmother, Mrs. Velma Woodson, and carried her paternal grandmother’s brooch in her bouquet.

The bride graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in public relations, and the groom graduated from USC with a master’s degree in school counseling.

The couple will reside in Columbia.
