Carolyn Laffitte, Herbert Bradley III marry
Carolyn Elizabeth Laffitte and Herbert Weathersbee Bradley III, both of Columbia, were married at 6 o’clock in the evening on July 29 at First Baptist Church in Greenville. Dr. Baxter Maddox Wynn officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Montague Laffitte Jr. of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Othniel Henry Wienges Jr. of St. Matthews and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Montague Laffitte of Estill. She received a bachelor’s degree in business from Wofford College. She is employed with the South Carolina Bankers Association in Columbia.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Weathersbee Bradley Jr. of Orangeburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Heyward Pinckney Garrison of Fort Mill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Weathersbee Bradley of Columbia. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Clemson University. He is employed with Colliers International in Columbia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her sisters-in-law, Katherine Hendricks Laffitte of Greenville and Lauren Bell Laffitte of Columbia, served as her matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Amelia Heyward Bradley, sister of the groom; Ruth Vanstory Horger, Lauren Johnson McWilliams, and Caro Carpenter Smith, all of Columbia; Kay Weathers Garrett and Campbell Fuller Saltzman, both of New York; Amanda Odom Parker of Greenville; Pierrine Todd Thomas of Fayetteville, Tennessee; and Anna Brice Wiersma of Anderson.
The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were his brother, Creg Garrison Bradley of Asheville, North Carolina; the bride’s brothers, Ralph Montague Laffitte III of Columbia and Othniel Wienges Laffitte of Greenville; and Robert Seabrook Moore, Derrick Lennon Wrigley and Harold Edward Zeigler III. Junior groomsmen were the bride’s nephews Ralph Montague Laffitte IV and McNeill Jackson Laffitte, both of Columbia.
A reception followed at the Poinsett Club. The couple will reside in Columbia.
