Donald and Patricia Burger celebrate 60th anniversary

Donald A. and Patricia Eason Burger of Cayce recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 16, 1957, in Unionville, New York.

Their children are Robin (Vincent) Addeda of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey; Brenda de Jager of Unionville; and Sherri (Butch) Davenport of Cayce. They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The high school sweethearts love to travel and are very involved with Broadacres Baptist Church in Cayce.

The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends in New York State with a big surprise celebration. They were surrounded with family and friends they had not seen in years.

The party included trivia games and fun facts about the couple. During their trip, they took a private tour around Skylands Animal Sanctuary & Rescue in Sussex County, New Jersey, where the couple farmed for 25 years and raised their family.
