Kate McElveen, Nick Price to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thomas McElveen Jr. of Sumter are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Watson “Kate” McElveen, to Nicholas Joe “Nick” Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Joe Price of Clio.

The bride-elect, a resident of Sumter, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thomas McElveen and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Burke Watson, all of Sumter. A 2010 graduate of Coker College, she is employed with the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce as a partner relations coordinator.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Sumter, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Henry Price of Dillon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wacon Thurston Rogers of Lake View. A 2002 graduate of Clemson University, he is employed with Sunset Country Club in Sumter as a golf course superintendent.

The couple plan a December wedding in Pawleys Island.
