Ron and Nancy Jacobs celebrate 60th anniversary

Ronald Lynn “Ron” Jacobs Sr. and Nancy May Jacobs of Lexington recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 1, 1957, at First Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill.

Their children are Cindy and Rusty Darby of Lowrys, Ron Jr. and Lisa Jacobs of Awendaw, Steve and Tracie Jacobs of Jacksonville and Fran and David Clark of Columbia. They have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The high school sweethearts met during the summer before their sophomore year.

Daughter Fran Clark writes, “Their commitment to serve God, to each other, and to family and friends has been the foundation of their 60 years of marriage.”
