Mr. and Mrs. William James Weatherly of Bennettsville are pleased to announce the of engagement their daughter, Margaret Laurin Weatherly, to Andrew Cole Dukes, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Anthony Dukes of Columbia.

The bride-elect, a resident of Columbia, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Weatherly Sr. of Bennettsville and the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Gibson of Gibson, North Carolina. She is a 2006 graduate of Marlboro Academy in Bennettsville, a 2010 graduate of the University of South Carolina, and a 2013 graduate of the Charleston School of Law. She is employed with Ecton Law Firm as associate attorney.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Columbia, is the grandson of Mrs. Miram P. Azevedo of McCormick and the late Mr. John Davis Patterson; the late Mrs. Louise L. Cole of Fort Pierce, Florida; and the late Mr. Elias Pinckney Dukes of Charleston. He is the step-grandson of Mr. Frank Edward Cole of Palm Bay, Florida. He is a 2004 graduate of A.C. Flora High School and a 2009 graduate of USC. He is employed with the Saluda River Club as project manager.

The pair met working as pages at the S.C. State House.

The couple plan a May wedding in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
