Maliah Gleaton, Madison DeVine marry
Miss Maliah Gleaton and Mr. Madison DeVine were united in marriage Dec. 2 in Columbia. The Rev. James “Jim” Johnson officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Tammy Gleaton of North. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Sonya Gleaton of Neeses. She graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she majored in marketing and management of human resources at the Darla Moore School of Business.
The groom graduated from USC with a degree in civil engineering.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Kirsten Drawdy Sightler of North. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Gleaton of North; Ivy August of Springfield; Courtney Rosenkrantz of New Providence, New Jersey; and Melissa DeVine of Sumter.
Best man was Thomas John DeVine Jr. of Sumter. Groomsmen were Thomas John Devine III and Bruce Caldwell, both of Sumter; Bradley Waters of Greenville; and Tyler Papst of Spartanburg.
After their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Chapin.

Q: How did you meet?
A: In college at the University of South Carolina.
Q: Did you have something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue? What were they?
A: Old, mother’s veil; new, wedding shoes; borrowed, great-grandmother’s jewelry; blue, piece of father’s old SCE&G work shirt sewn into wedding gown in the shape of a heart.
