Hillary Evans, Jeff Leister to wed

Donald and Darla Evans of Lexington are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Hillary Evans, to Jeffrey Leister, son of Jim and Sun Ok Leister of Irmo.

The bride-elect, a resident of Greenville, is the granddaughter of Roy and Betty Kight of Dublin, Georgia. A graduate of Clemson University, she is employed with Greenville Health System as a registered dietitian.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Greenville, also graduated from Clemson. He is employed with Greenville Health System as a registered nurse.

The couple plan a March wedding in Greenville.

In her own words

Q: How did you meet?

A: We were both volunteering in Columbia at Fuse, NewSpring Church’s student ministry. Jeff introduced himself to me, jokingly, by saying, “Hi, my name’s Trevor.” I immediately fired back with sass, “No, it’s not.” He knew then that I was sassy and wouldn’t put up with anything!

Q: When did you know your fiance was “the one”?

A: I can’t remember an actual moment, but I knew he was the one because he was unlike any other person I’d ever met. He’s absolutely hilarious, full of joy, full of love for people, and strong and sensitive at the same time. He loves to make people laugh and always brightens your day.

Q: Tell us about the proposal.

A: We were on a walk in our favorite park and went off on a little trail. He got down on one knee and popped the question!
