Sarah Smith, Jason Gucwa to wed

Levie David Smith III and Charleen Smith of Columbia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Louise Smith, to Jason Thomas Gucwa, son of Leonard Thomas Gucwa and Alice Saxe Gucwa of Marietta, Georgia.

The bride-elect, a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, is the granddaughter of Leroy and Mary Louise Selph and Annie Laurie Smith, all of Lakeland, Florida. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg and a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. She is employed with Asurion in Nashville as a corporate communications specialist.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Nashville, earned a bachelor’s degree from Augusta State University. He is employed with Comcast as campaign manager.

The couple plan a June wedding in Nashville.

A: Proposed after a romantic weekend in Lexington, Kentucky.
