Sarah Burnside, Wil Riggins to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Bethea Burnside of Columbia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Catherine Burnside, to Jeffrey Wilton Riggins Jr., son of Jeffrey Wilton Riggins and Susan O. Riggins of Lancaster.

The bride-elect, a resident of Columbia, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Drayton Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. John William Burnside, all of Columbia. The Irmo High School alumna earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Clemson University. She is employed with Palmetto Health Baptist in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Columbia, is the grandson of Bobbie T. Ouzts and the late John W. Ouzts and the late George Wilton and Virginia H. Riggins of Lancaster. The Lancaster High School alumnus earned a bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation and tourism management from Clemson University. He minored in business administration with a concentration in professional golf management, and he is employed with Forest Lake Country Club.

The couple plan a July wedding in Columbia.
