Lainee Craft, Russell Grosslight marry
Lainee Rosemarie Craft of Orangeburg and Russell Joseph Grosslight of Blythewood were united in marriage July 23 at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston. The Rev. Dr. Michael Smith officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. (Rose Marie H.) Craft of Orangeburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Clarence Higginbotham Jr. of Orangeburg and Mr. and Mrs. James E. Craft of Cope. A graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory School, she is pursuing a visual arts major at Clemson University.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. (Susan H.) Grosslight of Blythewood. He is the grandson of Mrs. Elmira L. Hammond of Charlottesville, Virginia, and the late Dr. Robert C. Hammond, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Grosslight of Tallahassee, Florida. He is a graduate of Hammond School and Clemson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in wildlife and fisheries biology. He will be working in the hydroponics industry in the Clemson area.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The Williams Duo provided music.
Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Dorsey Elizabeth Craft Olbrich of Lake City, Florida. The bride’s attendants were Alyssa Kathryn Broeker of Moore; Emily Nicole Horacek of Charlotte, North Carolina; Taylor Mixon Huffstetler of Cope; Chiara Jane Zwenger of Osnabruk, Germany; and William Gerald Hardison III of Orangeburg.
Best man was Chase Larsen Blatchford of Awendaw. Groomsmen were the groom’s brother, Robert Hammond Grosslight of Blythewood; Nathan Blair Anderegg of Clemson; Duncan Alexander Chisholm of Greenville; Miles Frank McDonald of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Kyle Matthew Olbrich of Lake City, Florida. The bride’s cousin, James Edward Craft II of Cope, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the plantation’s carriage house.
After their honeymoon in Tulum, Mexico, the couple will reside in Clemson.
