Edwin and Jane Davis celebrate 50th anniversary

Jesse Edwin Davis III and Jane Warlick Davis of Columbia recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 3, 1966, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

Their children are Haden Davis, Neely Davis and Andy (Taryn) Davis. They have five grandchildren: Laurel Davis, Brennan Davis, Mary Jayne Davis, Natalia Davis and Will Davis.

A special family anniversary dinner was held at the home of Andy and Taryn Davis.

“We have been very blessed by God with a wonderful marriage and loving children and grandchildren,” Jane Davis writes.

In their own words

Q: How did you meet?

A: We met at a dance in August of 1961 and got to know each other that fall in our high school chemistry class.

Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

A: Just rejoicing with family and friends after dating for the previous five years.

Q: Tell us about a favorite moment in your marriage.

A: Our most favorite moments were the births of our three children and later our grandchildren.
