Charlene and Calvin Meetze celebrate 50th anniversary

Charlene Griner Meetze and Calvin Kemp Meetze of Irmo recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 29, 1966 at Mount Olivet Church in Irmo.

Their children are Katie and Mark Vyskocil and Kevin and Tracy Meetze. They have four grandchildren: Molly, Mason, Lily and Kempton.

They celebrated their anniversary with family over a dinner at their plantation in Irmo.

Q: How did you meet?

A: While attending junior high in Irmo. They became high school sweethearts.
