New Miss SC Teen crowned
A new Miss South Carolina teen has been crowned.
Sixteen-year-old Sydney Sill of Duncan received the title Saturday when then-Miss South Carolina Teen Rachel Wyatt was crowned Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2013.
Sill, who was the first runner-up in July’s pageant, is a junior at James F. Byrnes High School in Spartanburg. During the Miss S.C. teen pageant, she performed tap dance to “Baby, I’m a Star” and was named the preliminary and overall evening wear and on-stage question winner.
“As Miss South Carolina Teen, I want to be the inspiration in people’s lives that helps them realize they can achieve what may seem impossible,” Sill said in a press release.
