Richland 1 schools offering weekend meals for the hungry. Here’s how to get them

Richland 1 school district has begun offering weekend meals for those in need, the district announced.

Starting Monday, families will be able to pick up meals for an entire, seven-day week rather than five days, which is what the district was doing previously, according to a release from the district.

Families can pick up the meals at the 10 distributions sites throughout the district from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the district’s website.

The weekend meal program will run through at least June 7, the district said.
