Richland 1 offering free meals weekly through the end of July

Richland 1 school district will be offering free meals for families throughout the summer, the district announced.

Those in need of meals can pick up seven days worth of meals on Mondays only from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parents can begin picking up meals on Monday, June 8, Richland 1 said in a press release.

The program will operate through July 30, the district said.

Meals are available to anyone in the district under the age of 18, said Richland 1 Nutrition Director Tracy Dixon. In order to receive meals, parents need to bring their children in their cars unless they have been approved through an online application process, which is now closed.

Those with questions about the district’s program can call (803) 231-6953 or email sfsp@richlandone.org.
