Fawcett recognized for fund raising efforts

Louis Fawcett, EdVenture’s senior vice president of principal gifts, will be recognized as the outstanding fundraising executive by the Central Carolina Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Fawcett is the chapter’s president-elect. The annual award will honor Fawcett’s career achievements and his philanthropic work in the Midlands. Fawcett has raised more than $14 million in major gifts for three organizations during the past twelve years. Prior to joining Edventure, he raised funds for children in China, Russia, Ethiopia and Haiti, including a $1 million capital campaign to build a children’s home in Ethiopia for 200 orphans. At EdVenture, Fawcett has raised money to support EdVenture’s expanded mission throughout South Carolina.
