Patterson recognized by SC Thrive

Lee Patterson is the 2016 recipient of S.C. Thrive’s Heart of the Region – Midlands. She received the award for her work with The Benefit Bank, Women in Philanthropy and the Junior League of Columbia. The award recognizes local counselors “who go above and beyond to assist their communities with S.C. Thrive services,” the organization said. Serving as Richland Library’s social work outreach program coordinator, Patterson is able to meet with members of the community without charge and connect them to reliable information and tools about such issues as the Affordable Care Act, food stamps and housing.
