Gander Mountain closing 32 stores
Gander Mountain, which has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, has announced that it’s closing 32 of its 162 stores.
A company statement acquired by the Associated Press says the stores will begin closing in coming weeks, but it doesn't give a date for the shutdowns.
The Minnesota-based company is blaming the closings on changing consumer patterns linked to online merchandising, according to the AP.
South Carolina’s two Gander Mountain locations – one in Myrtle Beach and another in North Charleston – are not on the list and will remain open for now.
