Gov. Hodges’ former legal counsel named senior VP/general counsel of SCANA

Jim Odell Stuckey has been named senior vice president and general counsel effective of SCANA with the retirement of current General Counsel Ron Lindsay on July 1. Stuckey joined SCANA in 2009 as associate general counsel and in 2013 was promoted to deputy general counsel/director of the legal department, where he has managed attorneys responsible for litigation, labor and employment, environmental, contract and real estate matters, among other responsibilities. Prior to joining SCANA, Stuckey opened the Columbia office of national labor and employment law firm Littler Mendelson. He previously served as a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough and was chief legal counsel for former Gov. Jim Hodges. Stuckey earned his law degree — with honors — from Duke University School of Law. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
