Midlands People & Achievements: Joanne Carelli and Cynthia Hughes
Joanne Carelli and Cynthia Hughes were honored at the South Carolina Nurses Foundation’s 2015 Palmetto Gold Gala. The honor of Palmetto Gold Nurse recognizes the state’s top 100 nurses for their excellence and commitment to the profession. Carelli is an operating room nurse of more than 35 years, while Hughes has served on numerous committees and professional groups. Both of them work for Providence Hospitals in Columbia.
