Chernoff Newman in Columbia recently received five awards at the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America’s annual Mercury Awards. The awards recognize communication leaders and excellence in public relations campaigns and tactics.

FOOD AND DRINK

Jonathan Devore, the local unit director of Bojangles’ in Batesburg, earned thir place in the company’s coveted ShowBo Awards. Devore was recognized for his store’s cleanliness, customer satisfaction, food quality and overall experience.

LAW

Christian Stemaier, Brian Comer and Pete Dworjanyn were selected as presenters for the 2015 Primerus Defense Insitute Convocation. They are all attorneys at Collins and Lacy in Columbia.

Rex Casterline has been reappointed to the South Carolina Real Estate Appraisers Board for a second term. Casterline is part of the law firm of Blair, Cato, Pickren and Casterline in Columbia.

Jacob Born has been named president of the Charleston School of Law Alumni Association Columbia Area Chapter. Born is an attorney at Chappell, Smith and Arden in Columbia.

Annie Eveleigh has been named director of advancement of the South Carolina Baptist Ministries of Againg. She is a native of Columbia and has nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit fund development.
