Share your memories of Bob Russell
A public service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shandon Presbyterian Church for Bob Russell, a well-known Columbia leader in the real estate business for 50 years.
Friends and family turned to Russell’s Legacy.com obituary to express their feelings and share condolences. Add your thoughts to the comments section below.
Bob and I served on the Republic National Board; my son and I played golf with him several times at Waynesville (Country Club); he was an outstanding golfer; many years ago I saw Bob put on an aerial show that was incredible. Bob was a man of integrity; I don’t believe I ever met a more focused person. His service to his country and profession are just a part of his legacy.

You know what a favorite Bob was in Senior Golfers of America. He will be missed by all in our community, too – a great golfer and a great guy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Patti and the family. Bob was a great man that touched many lives in a positive way. He was a true friend who will be missed by all who knew him. We are out of town but will be thinking of you all during this difficult time.
– Stan and Peggy Luallin, Columbia
Many years ago, Bob asked me about my decision to go into real estate. My reply “to be able to teach someone something,” in turn caused him to remark, “then you’ll do fine.” To me, this is what he is all about...learning and teaching. My deepest sympathy to all of the family...faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life.
