Midlands People & Achievements: Mike Biediger
Mike Biediger, longtime president and CEO of Lexington Medical Center, has received an honorary doctorate of humanities from Clemson University for enhancing health care in Lexington County and the state. Biediger is a 1976 Clemson graduate and has overseen growth at Lexington Medical Center from a 292-bed hospital to a medical network with 414 beds, the largest nursing home in the Carolinas and a physicians network that employs 300 doctors in 60 specialties.
