West Columbia manufacturer looking to fill 500 positions

A West Columbia manufacturing plant is looking to hire 500 workers, and recruiting begins this week.

Flex is seeking workers to fill jobs in a variety of positions, from maintenance to quality engineers and automation. The jobs will be for a contract period, but full-time employment is possible based on job performance, according to a news release.

Flex, an international design, engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking to fill the following positions:

Assemblers

Injection molding supervisors

Maintenance technicians

Quality control inspectors

Shipping/receiving clerks

Process technicians

Setup technicians

Automation technicians

Quality engineers

Automation engineers

Automation managers

Quality supervisors

Aerotek, a recruiting service, will be hosting a job fair from 12 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Columbia-Airport, 110 McSwain Drive, West Columbia.
