Midlands People & Achievements: Bud Ferillo

Bud Ferillo has been named the winner of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina’s 2015 Leadership in Diversity Award. Ferillo worked with then-Gov. Dick Riley to draft and pass South Carolina’s Education Improvement Act in 1984. Ferillo also produced and directed the film, “Corridor of Shame: The Neclect of South Carolina’s Rural Schools,” as well as created a traveling exhibit showing the state’s poor.
