Luxury riverfront townhomes planned for West Columbia
The Flow luxury townhomes complex on the Congaree River — next to the controversial Columbia Farms chicken processing plant — is about to expand.
The Flow 2 project will consist of 12 townhomes overlooking the Congaree River, according to a press release.
The three-story townhomes have the main living space on the third floor to take advantage of the views. Six units will have views of the Congaree River, and six will have views of the Columbia skyline.
The townhomes will range in size from 2,158 square feet for city views to 2,795 square feet for river views.
The three-bedroom, three-and-half-bath homes will sell for $415,000 to $525,000.
The third floor of each home is an open floor plan with a kitchen and living space featuring 10-foot to 13.5-foot ceilings, the release said.
The townhomes’ second floors have two bedrooms and two baths.
The first floors have a full bedroom that could be used as an office, with its own bathroom.
River-view units have a two-car garage. City-view units have a one-and-a-half-car garage. Each carport pad has room to park two additional cars.
Buyers can choose from a number of options and amenities, including an elevator.
The units complete the 24-home Flow on the River complex that first opened in 2015. The two phases are an investment of $12 million, the release said.
All of the original townhomes are owner-occupied.
Flow 2 should be ready for residents to move in by November 2020, the release said.
Columbia developer Bill Bradshaw noted in the release that the homes are conveniently located along the West Columbia Riverwalk and just across Meeting Street from West Columbia’s River District, which features an array of restaurants, galleries and boutiques, among other amenities.
The sprawling Brookland apartment complex has just opened across Meeting Street, which should attract more retail and hospitality.
“This whole area is just booming,” Bradshaw said.
Marketing and pre-sale for Flow 2 townhomes is being handled by Wheeler & Wheeler Real Estate through Coldwell Banker.
