Menkoi Ramen House, located on Gervais Street in the Vista, will be opening a second location in the Village at Sandhill. The new storefront will open in “summer 2021,” according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The new Menkoi Sandhill will be located at 493-1 Town Center Place. This new location is south of the Village Center near JCPenney and Champs Sports.

The popular Japanese restaurant is best known for its ramen offerings, which include a variety of traditionally flavored broths such as chicken, miso and shoyu, as well as various Japanese appetizers and drinks.

It’s currently unknown whether the Sandhill location will offer the same dishes as the Vista location or introduce new offerings.

The Vista location will continue operating, and the Sandhill location will be an expansion, not a change of location, the restaurant confirmed on Facebook.

The new location has been incorporated with South Carolina’s Secretary of State since February and is currently in good standing. Richland County approved construction permits for the restaurant in early May.
