New Dollar Store location open in Lexington County. Here are the details

A new Dollar General is now open in Lexington County.

The company announced its new location at 3024 Highway 6 is now open. That’s just north of Fish Hatchery Road, in between Gaston and Pelion. It will create between six and 10 new jobs, the company said.

“We look forward to welcoming customers to our new store and hope they will enjoy shopping at our new location,” said Dan Nieser, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development.

The store offers its usual blend of household essentials including food, cleaning supplies, paper products, over-the-counter medicines, hygiene products, baby items and more. This location will also feature Dollar General’s new home decor options and an expanded party preparation section, the company said in a news release.

To mark the opening, the company will donate 100 books to a nearby elementary school, Dollar General said. Schools, non-profits and libraries within a 15-mile radius of the new store will also be eligible for grants from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

The new store is the latest of more than two dozen Dollar Generals around Lexington County.
