This busy Columbia retail area is set to get a new trampoline and adventure park

It looks like a trampoline park may finally take flight in Columbia’s busy Harbison shopping district.

Urban Air Adventure Park, a spot for trampolines, birthday parties and more with locations in numerous states, will open a new spot at 1120 Bower Parkway Unit 1A, according to a July 14 social media post from the Columbia location. The trampoline park would be in the Columbiana Station shopping center, next to Dick’s Sporting Goods.

“Coming soon to Columbia, SC!,” Urban Air said in the July 14 Facebook post. “We’re bringing you the newest spot for nonstop family fun, amazing birthday parties, and adventure-filled memories at Urban Air Adventure Park Columbia!”

This is not the first time an Urban Air has been planned for 1120 Bower Parkway, as a location was announced for that spot all the way back in 2019. However, the project never came to fruition at that time.

This time around, however, it appears the location is on the way. Construction work has been going on inside the space at 1120 Bower Parkway, and city of Columbia building permits were issued for an Urban Air there in recent months.

The Columbia Urban Air is listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website, and Urban Air Columbia said in a July 12 Facebook post that it is now hiring.

“We’re building our team ahead of our opening and looking for reliable, hardworking people ready to work in a fun, fast-paced environment!,” the company said in the July 12 post.

An opening date has not been announced.

The general Harbison area northwest of downtown Columbia continues to be a bustling area with big box stores, restaurants, bars, hotels, movie theaters, the Columbiana Centre mall and more.
