Midlands People and Achievements: Carmen Thomas

Carmen Harper Thomas, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Columbia office, has been appointed to a three-year term on the University of South Carolina Board of Visitors.

The Board of Visitors assists the board of trustees and President Harris Pastides on issues related to the promotion of the university, including encouraging alumni participation and inviting broad public support for Carolina’s mission.

A native of Lancaster, Thomas earned a law degree from USC as well as a Masters of Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree from the USC Honors College in Journalism and Mass Communications.
