Midlands people and achievements: Tripp Whitener

City Center Partnership has announced its new officers for 2016. The officers are: chairman, Tripp Whitener of First Citizens Bank; vice chairman, Lee Mashburn of Mashburn Construction; treasurer, Ben Arnold of Arnold Cos.; and secretary, Charlie Nutt of Free Times. The four will help oversee the organization’s mission: fill vacancies in commercial properties, retain downtown businesses and recruiting new ones; and expanding the downtown residential base.
