Sitel officially announces Spartanburg call center, will bring 400 jobs
Sitel, a customer care provider, officially announced it will bring 400 new full-time jobs to a Spartanburg County call center over the next five years.
The Nashville-based company will invest $2.5 million during that span. The facility is located at the former Winn-Dixie building at the intersection of Highway 176 and Springfield Road.
The Herald-Journal first reported on Sitel’s move to Spartanburg in August 2015.
The state Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $200,000 grant to Spartanburg County to assist with the costs of property improvements for this project.
Spartanburg County Councilman David Britt said the company will provide employees with competitive salaries, good training and career-advancement opportunities.
“They’ve taken a facility that was basically mothballed and turned it around into a nice looking facility that will house about 400 people,” he said.
