West Columbian named S.C. Pharmacist of the Year

Robert Spires of West Columbia has been named the 2016 Pharmacist of the Year by the S.C. Pharmacy Association. The award was presented on June at the association’s annual convention. Spires is currently employed as a part-time clinical pharmacist at Palmetto Infusion Services. He has served a six-year term on the S.C. Board of Pharmacy and was also an inspector for the Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, he is a life member of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association and has served on the Nomination, Legislative and Public Affairs committees and as a member of the House of Delegates. The S.C. Pharmacy Association is celebrating 140 years as South Carolina’s professional organization representing more than professionals across the state.
