Mexican restaurant to open in former Compton’s Kitchen space on Sunset

El Jimador Mexican restaurant will open at 5343 Sunset Blvd. in the space just recently home to Compton’s Kitchen.

Compton’s Kitchen opened in the space in 2013 and closed this summer. The original Compton’s Kitchen on B Avenue in West Columbia is still in operation.

The Sunset Boulevard address will be the second in Lexington for El Jimador, which opened earlier this year in the Scarborough Plaza Shopping Center on Augusta Highway near Lexington High School in the space previously occupied by El Paso. No open date has been set yet for the Sunset Boulevard location.
