Another local favorite restaurant to open in former Tony’s Pizza location

Carolina Wings and Rib House will open a new location at 1120 Washington St. in downtown Columbia in the space formerly home to Tony’s Pizza & Italian Eatery.

Tony’s Pizza opened in 1981 and was family owned and operated by Mike and Lynda Creech who retired and closed the restaurant last May after 35 years in business.

According to the Carolina Wings and Rib House’s website, the Washington Street restaurant will be the sixth location for the locally owned eatery, which lists locations in Lexington, Red Bank, Cayce, Ballentine and Blythewood.
