Ristorante Divino, Kingsman Restaurant owners open butcher shop
The owners of the Kingsman Que and Brew in Lexington have opened The Royal Butcher at 924-B E. Main St. in the shopping center next to the Que and Brew just down the road from Lexington Main Library.
Touted as a boutique butcher shop, the Royal Butcher opened Wednesday and carries certified Angus beef, prime beef and other specialty meats including rib-eyes that are dry aged for 21 to 28 days. The shop also fills special orders and offers tips and advice on how to prepare the meats. The shop is owned by Henry Griffin and Mike Deevey who, in addition to Que and Brew and Royal Butcher, also own the original Kingsman Restaurant in Cayce and Ristorante Divino on Gervais Street in Columbia.
The Royal Butcher is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The shop is closed on Monday but customers are welcome to go to the Que and Brew next door for assistance if needed.
