For the eighth consecutive year, shoppers nationwide will take part in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25. Also known as Shop Local Saturday, the shopping day is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big-box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. As the name suggests, Shop Local Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize small, locally owned brick-and-mortar businesses.

So, after hitting the area’s big-box stores for deals and steals on Black Friday, check out this sampling of where you can get some great, one-of-a-kind gifts and deals at Midlands’ area born-and-bred shops on Saturday.
