New family-owned custom bakery opens in Midlands

A bakery can’t go wrong with a name like Cake Collection Boutique.

The family-owned bakery that opened in the Murraywood Center shopping center at 7001 St. Andrews Rd., Cake Collection Boutique serves custom cakes and pastries made from scratch daily. Owner Iris Perea-Panoo has been baking for over 15 years. Perea-Panoo and daughter, Sharisa, have learned and mastered cake baking and decorating. After baking cakes for friends for years and receiving rave reviews and tons of repeat customers, Parea-Panoo decided to open a brick-and-mortar shop and grow her customer base even more.

And, just in time for the holidays, Cake Collection Boutique has rolled out specialty cupcake flavors including eggnog, peppermint mocha and Nutella red velvet.

Cake Collection Boutique is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; closed Sunday.
