Alodia’s Italian restaurant announces Lexington opening date
After much anticipation, Alodia’s Cucina Italiana has announced it will open its Lexington location at 101 W. Main St. on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
Alodia’s opened its original Midlands location at 2736 N. Lake Drive in the Publix-anchored Murray Landing shopping center in Columbia in 2008. The restaurant was the first for proprietor Adam Huneau who named the restaurant in honor of his great grandmother and who set the menu of authentic Italian cuisine, including homemade sauces and Abruzzo pastas, in homage to his family’s Italian heritage.
The Lexington location sits directly in front of the town’s new Icehouse Amphitheatre and is part of the town’s new vision plan, according to Town of Lexington and Lexington Chamber officials.
Alodia’s Lexington location is in the former Shirey’s Building which had fallen into ill repair and recently underwent a $1.3 million renovation after being purchased.
Alodia’s opening week hours are as follows (February 6 - 11):
Dinner 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Lunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday followed by dinner 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Brunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday followed by dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
