Shop Around: Hotel to be built across from Lexington Medical Center

A hotel will be constructed at 134 Mathias Rd. in West Columbia across from Lexington Medical Center, according to brokers with NAI Avant. The three-acre site was sold for $630,000 to Solara Investments LLC, who opened the 100-suite Residence Inn on Lake Murray Boulevard in Irmo in 2013. The entire site consists of 7.42 acres, leaving an additional 4.42 acres remaining for purchase.
