Among the many businesses damaged by flood waters in early October was Zoe's Kitchen at 4855 Forest Drive. The restaurant has been shut down since then. The store will reopen, but probably not for another six to eight months, said Lawson Mock, manager of the Zoe’s Kitchen on Main Street.
Lexington welcomed its newest eatery this week with the opening of Dunkin' Donuts at the corner of U.S. 378 and U.S. 1. The broker for the site, Carolinas Retail Partners, is still looking for an additional tenant to lease the remaining 1,272 square feet of the building.
And across town on Sunset Boulevard in front of Target, a Mattress Firm is under construction at 5060 Sunset Blvd. between Arthur State Bank and Capital Bank. The store is expected to open in early spring. This will be the fourth Mattress Firm to open on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington – all within 1.5 miles of each other. The other three Lexington Mattress Firms are at 5449 Sunset Blvd., 5416 Sunset Blvd. and 5225 Sunset Blvd.
